Discover Ways to Enjoy Your Best Smile
General dentistry is, to me, comprehensive dentistry because when you establish a relationship with a general dentist, we will take records and X-rays, and we do gum measurements, we’re listening to the patient and also look in the patient’s past dental history. We put all that together, and we come up with a treatment plan that best fit the patient. Then we go over with them, and then we discuss what their needs and want is, and then we move forward from that.
For example, maybe someone just wants to come in and get the teeth cleaned. Well, we do provide that. Maybe someone that needs cleaning and fillings, we also provide that as well. Or we go further, like someone comes in and their teeth are so broken down and they have been so embarrassed all these years, and embarrassed about going to see a dentist. Finally, maybe they’re having pain somewhere, and that’s what brings them in. We start from there and take care of their emergency needs first, and we encourage them to come back and get a comprehensive exam so that we can help them, so that we can stabilize the dental health so that they don’t have these dental emergencies that arise out of nowhere.
